Tarbela Dam Project Pakistan location, pictures and my 25 years in Tarbela Dam

Tarbela Dam is world famous Dam which produce hydro-electricity. Tarbela Dam is located in Tehsil Ghazi, district Haripur, Pakistan . It has many colonies. Important colonies of Tarbela Dam are Sobra City Colony, Right Bank Colony, Mehran Colony, Sanober Colony, Main Colony, PFL Colony and TRO colony. Tarbela Dam has many educational institutions. These educational institutions include Wapda Degree College Sobra City Tarbela Dam, Senoir Model School Sobra City Tarbela Dam, F G Public High School Sobra City Tarbela Dam, Comprehensive Boys High School Mian Colony Tarbela Dam or Wapda Boys High School Mian Colony Tarbela Dam, Comprehensive Girls High School Mian Colony Tarbela Dam, Tarbela Dam Project High School Right Bank and Wapda Cadet College Tarbela Dam.

Our family spent 25 years in Tarbela Dam project, Pakistan. I spent very pleasant time in Tarbela Dam project. I loved and enjoyed the pleasant weather and sceneries in Tarbela Dam. Tarbela Dam has very attractive sites and sceneries. Tarbela Dam had cleanest of drinking water, lush green forests, beautiful tropical rains and dustless winds. We had beautiful large bungalow there due to my late father's service. However it is was WAPDA property. Like other government services, medical, transport and education was free in Tarbela Dam. I had very good friends there. We use to play cricket and other games. We also enjoyed outings and picnics at Tarbela Dam project sites. Many people were very sincere to me. My students greatly respected me.

However, some unfortunate events happened in Tarbela Dam. My late father was WAPDA employee who retired as a grade 19 WAPDA officer. He served WAPDA for 41 years. Our family including me earned money from this remote and extremely productive hydro power project, Tarbela Dam. My mother died in WAPDA Hospital Tarbela Dam during the year 1984 when she was young woman in her early forties. I always felt pain on my mother's death in such a young age. My 63 years old father, retired 19 grade WAPDA officer, mysteriously died on May 28, 2004 in his home located in Model Town, Lahore. He remained very happy and healthy in Tarbela Dam. My late father was great supporter of Pakistan People Party and Bhutto family. He would have been very happy if he had been alive. At least he did not experience the grief of former PPP leader and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto Shaheed death. On the other hand I always supported Pakistan Muslim League and Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif during my father's life time. Now I feel unhappy that why I did not gratify my late father by supporting Pakistan People Party. Any how every one has a right to have their own independent political believes according to their own conscience. God rest my parents soul in peace.
During the year 1991, I passed my B.Sc from WAPDA Degree College, Tarbela Dam which was affiliated with Peshawar University. I passed my Masters M.Sc during the year 1993 from Post Graduate College, Abbottabad affiliated with Peshawar University. Around fifty of my class, school or college fellows of Tarbela Dam are working on senior government officer posts in grade 19, grade 18 and grade 17. Even few of my students are government officers. These are those to whom I know personally. There are hundreds of other college fellows on senior government posts. Almost all of them were WAPDA employee sons or daughters.
I completed my Master degree during the year 1993. I completed all of my education during the period of our stay in Tarbela Dam. I wanted to become Assistant commissioner or lecturer in WAPDA degree college, Tarbela Dam project. Unfortunately, there were five years ban on employment at that time. WAPDA Degree College never announced any post for Mathematics or computer sciences lecturer. During the year 1994, I got computer programmer job/service in grade 17 in WAPDA at PMO, Tarbela Dam Project (TDP) office. During the year 1999, I get senior teacher job/service in WAPDA senior model school, Tarbela Dam project which I continued for one year. Previously I left places due to mind control harassment but level of harassment was comparatively less. In the year 2000, our family left Tarbela Dam due to my father's transfer to WAPDA House, Peshawar and than to WAPDA House, Lahore and due to mind controllers created fear.
